How to edit QuickTime HD video
Free download MOV Video Editor or MOV Video Suite, install and launch it.
1. Import Videos
Click Import menu to load videos. You can directly open MOV files or record video with camcorder. It also helps you record audio and capture screencast.
In Suite Version, a handy online video downloader can help you download videos from video-sharing websites.
2. Join videos, split and crop video
Drag the videos from media library to timeline board to merge them, you can drag-and-drop them to adjust the sequence.
Select a video and click Crop button on the middle tool bar to crop video area size.
Preview video, and when it comes to the point you want, click Cut button on the tool bar at the bottom of preview window to split video.
In Suite Version, you can use video splitter to split video by specified file size, time length, clips number, etc.
3. Add effect, transition and title
Select the Effects, Transitions and Titles label under Edit menu to touch up videos.
When you preview video in HD MOV Editor, click an effect to see the change in real time. Click Apply or drag the effect to video clip in timeline to apply effect. Click Customize to adjust effect parameters. The default settings always works in most case for beginners.
Click to preview the transition effect, drag the transition between video clips in timeline to apply transition. You can also click Customize to customize the settings.
Choose Titles label, or click Titles button on the tool bar at the right side of preview window to add text to video. All the text parameters are adjustable like font color, size, style, alignment, title animation style, transparency, speed, duration of movement, etc.
4. Output video
Choose Export menu on the right panel. You can choose to Save as video file, Save for mobile device and Burn to CD/DVD. MOV Editor supports all popular video formats and most portable devices.
